Corporate wellness program utilizing patch-type ECG wearable
Wellysis initiates a smart healthcare management program aimed at preventing cardiovascular diseases among Samsung DS employees.
This corporate wellness program was developed under the cooperation of Wellysis, Kangbuk Samsung Hospital, and Samsung Electronics' DS Division. It aims to support employee health management through convenient tests using wearable ECG patch devices, enhancing awareness of health promotion.
The core of the program lies in the "prevention and management of cardiovascular diseases in everyday life." Among cardiovascular diseases, arrhythmias can occur intermittently without warning, posing a risk of onset during most of the workday. However, employees often find it inconvenient to visit hospitals during work hours for tests, resulting in limited accessibility to cardiovascular health management in daily life.
To address this inconvenience and low accessibility, this program provides full-covered health management services within the workplace and plans to expand its application to various workplaces.
The program offers ECG tests using the S-Patch for employees who need cardiovascular disease prevention and management, along with necessary education. Additionally, services recommending medical consultations based on test results are provided, enabling early detection and management of cardiovascular diseases.
A Wellysis official stated, "The S-Patch utilized in the program is a patch-type wearable monitoring device that collects ECG data. With its small and lightweight design of 9g and minimal noise, it collects waveforms and offers continuous measurement for up to 3 days without battery replacement, showcasing a high arrhythmia detection rate." They added, "The S-Patch Ex mobile app allows quick upload of test data and provides analysis reports to onsite clinics, assisting medical professionals in arrhythmia testing and diagnosis."
