Wellysis showcased the 'S-Patch Ex' wearable ECG analysis solution, useful for ECG monitoring, at the BIO KOREA 2021 held at COEX in Seoul from June 9th to 11th.

Established in May 2019, Wellysis is a digital healthcare solution company spun off from Samsung SDS's digital healthcare team.

Having developed the ECG monitor 'S-Patch Cardio', Wellysis has obtained certifications not only in South Korea but also in Europe (CE), Australia, Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand, enabling exports to countries like Australia, Greece, Thailand, and Italy, garnering high popularity in the global market.

The highlighted product at this exhibition, the 'S-Patch Ex', is a successor model to Cardio, boasting a lightweight of 9g. Considering that typical products weigh around 400g, it is exceptionally light, allowing patients to wear it more comfortably. Moreover, equipped with artificial intelligence (AI), it can analyze ECG data, providing significant assistance to medical professionals in diagnosing arrhythmias.

The usage of Wellysis' 'S-Patch Ex' is intuitive and straightforward. Once worn on the chest, the ECG data is transmitted in real-time to a mobile device. The collected data is then automatically sent to the corresponding cloud server for analysis. Subsequently, based on intelligent algorithms, the analysis results of the ECG data are provided to medical professionals, enabling patients to receive accurate feedback and treatment.

Eunhye Gu, a manager at Wellysis, met at the BIO KOREA 2021 exhibition, stated, "The S-Patch Ex presented at this exhibition is an upgraded version of the S-Patch Cardio, utilizing Samsung Electronics' bio-process chip." She added, "Compared to the previous model, additional memory has been added to minimize data loss. The collected data is provided in a cloud-based reading environment, allowing medical professionals to access and increase the efficiency of readings from anywhere, anytime."

Furthermore, she mentioned, "The current S-Patch Ex model has received a second-grade Holter ECG certification from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) and is scheduled for sale in collaboration with Samjin Pharmaceutical." She continued, "In preparation for expanding into overseas markets, we obtained CE certification from Europe last May, and we are preparing for FDA approval in the second half of this year."
